ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The primary responsibilities of the Medical Practice Office Manager / Chief Operations Officer include overseeing all business operations of the practice, including financial management, operational efficiency, staff leadership, and strategic growth initiatives. This role serves as the central point of coordination for the practice’s administrative and business functions, ensuring that all systems, processes, and team members operate efficiently and cohesively.
The position involves high-level operational oversight of the medical practice, including financial tracking, bookkeeping, workflow management, staff supervision, vendor coordination, and implementation of systems that improve efficiency and patient experience. The Office Manager / COO will work closely with the physician to support the clinical team while ensuring the practice maintains strong organizational structure, financial performance, and continued growth.
ABSOLUTE REQUISITES (DO NOT APPLY UNLESS ALL CRITERIA ARE MET)
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required
- Strong knowledge and experience managing a medical office and administrative operations (minimum of five years)
- Bookkeeping experience with high proficiency (minimum of five years)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding customer service capabilities
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices
- Leadership, multitasking, and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth operations
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
- Professional appearance
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced office setting
- Excellent English usage, grammar, spelling, and enunciation skills
- Marketing and practice development experience to support continued growth of the practice
