Job Title: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN (Day Shift)Location: Ithaca NY Shift: Day Shift 312 hours per weekPosition OverviewA healthcare facility in Ithaca NY is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse for a day-shift assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills in acute care the ability to manage a diverse patient population and experience with telemetry monitoring.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing care in an acute care environment.Conduct comprehensive assessments including physical emotional and psychosocial evaluations.Monitor patients on telemetry identify cardiac rhythm changes and escalate concerns appropriately.Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record.Collaborate with physicians interdisciplinary teams and ancillary staff to ensure coordinated care.Educate patients and families on diagnoses treatments and discharge plans.Maintain compliance with hospital safety standards and infection-control policies.Participate in unit-based quality-improvement initiatives.Adapt to fast-paced conditions and manage multiple patient priorities.Required QualificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York (or compact license if applicable).Recent Medical-Surgical experience in an acute-care setting.Telemetry experience required.Strong clinical judgment and ability to interpret cardiac rhythms.Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR).Current BLS certification.ACLS certification preferred (may be required depending on unit).For more details contact atAboutNavitas Healthcare LLCcertified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
