Medium Duty Mechanic

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of bucket and digger trucks to ensure optimal performance and longevity, across multiple job locations.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely and efficient manner
Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment, following manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices
Collaborate with the equipment management team to maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance schedules
Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that may arise during construction projects
Keep abreast of industry developments and technological advancements related to bucket and digger truck mechanics
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Company provides welder, torches, air compressor, and generators.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Proven experience as a mechanic with a focus on bucket and digger trucks.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey information to managers.
Certification in diesel mechanics or a related field is preferred.
Must possess a valid driver s license; Class A CDL is a plus
Must be willing to work overtime as needed
Must be willing to travel out of state as needed

Education and Experience:

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Ability to lift heavy equipment parts and tools (up to 40 lbs)
Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand to operate and repair heavy equipment.
Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures.
