ABOUT NYC TOURISM CONVENTIONSNew York City Tourism Conventions is the official marketing tourism and partnership organization for the City of New York dedicated to maximizing travel and tourism opportunities throughout the five boroughs building economic prosperity and spreading the positive image of New York City worldwide. is the official website of New York City reaching visitors when in their trip-planning stages and making sure they experience all that the City should offer during their trips. is also the home of key marketing programs including NYC Restaurant Week Broadway Week and more.POSITION SUMMARY:The Membership Associate supports NYC Tourism Conventions Membership Division through proactive outreach member engagement and exceptional customer service. This role assists with new member recruitment account servicing and program participation to ensure members receive full value from their membership. The Associate also provides support for Restaurant Week and participates in member events and networking opportunities.RESPONSIBILITIES:Prospect and recruit new visitor- and tourism-facing businesses across all five boroughs.Respond to and qualify inbound membership inquiries converting prospects into active members.Maintain regular contact with assigned members handling updates renewals and benefit questions.Encourage participation in programs events and initiatives that enhance member value.Support Restaurant Week outreach onboarding and asset collection under the direction of the Membership Programs team.Represent NYC Tourism Conventions at member events and networking opportunities.Maintain accurate member data in Simpleview CRM including contact records and engagement tracking.Assist with data cleanup reporting and other administrative tasks that support membership communication and retention efforts.QUALIFICATIONS:13 years of experience in sales customer service or membership/hospitality roles.Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a professional and service-oriented approach.Highly organized and detail-oriented able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.Comfortable conducting outreach calls virtual meetings and in-person visits.Familiarity with CRM systems (Simpleview preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.Enthusiasm for New York Citys tourism and hospitality landscape including its businesses attractions and neighborhoods.New York City Tourism Conventions offer a competitive benefits package including:Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in-office (Tues/Wed required 1 flex day); Fridays remote.Generous Time Off: PTO days and sick time.Holidays: up to 12 paid company holidays plus extended Winter Break.Floating Holiday: 1 per year front-loaded.Healthcare: Premium medical dental and vision plans plus HRA and DCA.Retirement & Development: Retirement savings plan and professional development opportunities.Perks: Quarterly cell phone credit to subsidize your plan and monthly transit/commuter allowance.Applicants for this position must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.NYC Tourism Conventions is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
