Specialty Telehealth Practice | Stable Caseload Growth | Limited Openings
Heart and Mind Counseling, a growing specialty psychotherapy practice, seeks independently licensed therapists interested in building meaningful, sustainable caseloads within a highly supportive and clinically sophisticated environment.
This is a fully remote W-2 clinical position within an established practice recognized for strong referral flow, collaborative culture, and intentional organizational growth.
About Heart and Mind CounselingHeadquartered in Michigan, Heart and Mind Counseling provides specialized telehealth psychotherapy services to clients in approximately 25 U.S. states and Washington, DC.
Our clinicians support individuals and families navigating congenital heart disease, chronic medical conditions, organ transplantation, grief, trauma, PTSD, medical trauma, depression, and anxiety disorders. Therapists also work with co-occurring presentations including ADHD, autism spectrum conditions, bipolar disorders, dissociative symptoms, disordered eating, substance use disorders, and life transitions related to complex health diagnoses.
We provide therapy across the lifespan, including individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, and support for parents navigating prenatal, pediatric, and adult medical challenges.
Therapists deliver services in jurisdictions where they maintain active licensure and credentialing.
Our interdisciplinary care model includes collaboration with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides medication management services for appropriate clients.

Position Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive clinical and psychosocial assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide ongoing psychotherapy via secure telehealth platforms
- Monitor treatment progress and adjust clinical strategies as needed
- Maintain timely and compliant clinical documentation
- Collaborate with psychiatric and medical providers when appropriate
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work or Counseling
- Independent, unrestricted clinical licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LICSW, LPC, or LMFT)
- Successful completion of the ASWB or NCE/NCMHCE examination
- Clinical experience in outpatient behavioral health, hospital systems, medical social work, chronic illness care, transplant programs, hospice, or trauma-focused practice preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, empathy, professionalism, and communication skills
This W-2 position includes gradual, supported caseload development aligned with therapist availability and demonstrated client demand.
Full-time status is typically reached at approximately 25 clinical sessions per week.
At this level, therapists commonly earn $90,000+ annually, with potential for increased earnings based on scheduling consistency and multi-state licensure capacity.
