Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMental Health Worker – Outpatient Adult Behavioral Health (ABH) Urgent CareLocation: Philadelphia, PA 19132Contract Duration: 8 WeeksEmployment Type: ContractCompensation: Up to $20.65/hourPosition Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Worker (MHW) to support our full-time case manager in a busy Adult Behavioral Health (ABH) Urgent Care Clinic in Philadelphia, PA. This individual will assist with aftercare planning, follow-up calls, and discharges for clients visiting our walk-in mental health clinic.Key Responsibilities:Assist with discharge coordination and aftercare planning for mental health clients.Conduct follow-up phone calls to ensure clients are connected to appropriate outpatient and community services.Support clients in navigating mental health recovery plans and treatment goals.Participate in treatment team discussions and contribute to individualized care plans.Provide direct client support and ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in the clinic setting.Document client interactions and updates in a timely and accurate manner.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree required.Minimum of 3 years of experience working in mental/behavioral health, social services, or a related field.Valid driver’s license required.Experience with mental health clients preferred.Strong communication and documentation skills.Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment plans, and community resources.Experience with crisis de-escalation and client support.Note: This is a short-term 8-week contract position designed to support urgent behavioral health needs in a high-demand walk-in clinic setting.
