Metrology Technician (Associate Mid-Level or Senior)Company:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking a Metrology Technician to join our team in San Antonio TX. The successful candidate will utilize expertise in measurement science to perform calibration of measurement and test equipment supporting a wide range of activities at the site.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate Mid-Level or Senior Level Metrology Technician.Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:Execute precise calibration of measurement and test equipment both in the laboratory and onsite ensuring accuracy in accordance with established calibration procedures; encompassing a broad range of instrumentation including Electrical Physical/Dimensional Mass/Weight Pressure Temperature Force Torque and Time/Frequency systems and controlsCollaborate in the development and validation of calibration procedures to ensure compliance with technical standardsDevelop compile and maintain comprehensive documentation and records pertaining to calibration activities and equipment statusVerify that all calibration documentation instrument records and work order data is accurately completed and maintained in accordance with quality and regulatory requirementsGenerate calibration certificates and out-of-tolerance reports as necessary ensuring delivery in the appropriate formatMaintain and manage secondary intrinsic and working calibration standards to uphold traceability and measurement integrityUtilize calibration software tools to streamline calibration processes enhance efficiency and perform necessary adjustments to calibration devicesEnsure timely and accurate closure of all work orders including submission of required data reports and supporting documentation to maintain audit readiness and complianceBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):1 years of experience working with calibrated equipment1 years experience working in metrologyPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Level 3: 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Level 4: 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Associates Degree from a technical program and/or collegePrior PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) experience Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits: At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
