Key Responsibilities Perform calibration maintenance and repair of precision measurement equipment. Operate program and troubleshoot Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced metrology systems. Conduct dimensional inspections first article inspections and in-process checks of manufactured parts. Analyze measurement data identify non-conformances and generate detailed inspection reports. Develop and optimize measurement methods procedures and fixturing. Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g. ISO 17025). Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve measurement-related issues and improve part quality. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency with precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers micrometers CMMs optical comparators). Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint reading. Experience operating and/or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs). Knowledge of calibration processes measurement uncertainty and quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001). Technical degree or certificate in Metrology Machining or a related engineering discipline. Bonus Qualifications Advanced CMM programming skills (e.g. PCDMIS Calypso) beyond basic operation. Proficiency with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks) for model-based inspection and fixture design. Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Yellow or Green Belt). Experience with specialized non-contact measurement systems (e.g. laser trackers structured light scanners).
