The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Kentwood seeking Metrology Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities Perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies. Calibrate maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of metrology equipment. Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other automated inspection systems. Document inspection results calibration data and non-conformances accurately. Analyze measurement data to identify trends and support process improvements. Ensure compliance with quality standards specifications and industry regulations. Assist in the development and improvement of measurement procedures and techniques. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in operating and calibrating precision metrology equipment (e.g. CMMs calipers micrometers). Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints schematics and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Solid understanding of measurement principles statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis. Experience with metrology software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso) and Microsoft Office Suite. Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g. metrology mechanical engineering technology) or equivalent work experience. Bonus Qualifications Experience with CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS). ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification. Proficiency in CAD software for model interpretation and GD&T analysis. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles or a Green Belt certification.
