The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Muskegon seeking Metrology Technicians who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using various metrology equipment. Calibrate maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of measurement tools and instruments. Interpret engineering blueprints specifications and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for inspection purposes. Program set up and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other automated inspection systems. Document inspection results maintain calibration records and generate reports for quality assurance. Assist in Gage R&R studies and other measurement system analysis activities. Identify and report non-conforming products or measurement discrepancies to production and quality teams. Recommended Qualifications Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g. Metrology Machining Quality) or equivalent relevant experience. Strong proficiency in interpreting and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Hands-on experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and optical measurement systems. Demonstrated ability to accurately read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications. Familiarity with calibration principles measurement uncertainty and traceability. Experience with a wide range of precision measurement hand tools (e.g. micrometers calipers height gauges).
