Key Responsibilities Perform precise dimensional measurements using CMMs optical comparators and various hand tools. Calibrate verify and maintain metrology equipment according to established schedules and procedures. Analyze measurement data interpret results and generate detailed inspection reports. Develop program and validate CMM routines and other automated measurement sequences. Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and provide technical support for manufacturing processes. Maintain traceability of measurement standards and ensure compliance with quality management systems. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve part conformance issues. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in operating and calibrating precision measuring equipment (e.g. CMM optical comparators calipers micrometers). Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Solid understanding of metrology principles calibration standards and measurement uncertainty. Experience with metrology software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso) and data analysis tools. Technical degree or certification in metrology manufacturing technology or a related engineering discipline. Bonus Qualifications Advanced CMM programming proficiency (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS). Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification. Familiarity with statistical analysis software (e.g. Minitab JMP) and SPC application. Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks CATIA) for model-based inspection. Prior experience with non-contact measurement systems such as vision systems or laser scanners.
