Key Responsibilities Perform calibration verification and preventative maintenance of precision measurement equipment and gauges. Conduct dimensional inspections of manufactured parts tooling and fixtures using CMMs optical comparators calipers micrometers and other metrology tools. Document calibration records inspection results and non-conformance reports accurately and thoroughly. Troubleshoot and resolve measurement discrepancies equipment malfunctions and provide technical support to production. Develop implement and maintain metrology procedures work instructions and best practices. Analyze measurement data to identify trends process variations and support quality improvement initiatives. Support the selection acquisition and validation of new metrology equipment. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in operating and programming CMMs vision systems and conventional metrology tools (calipers micrometers gauges). Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Solid understanding of measurement principles calibration processes and quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001). Experience with metrology software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso) and data analysis for quality control. Technical degree or certification in metrology quality assurance or a related technical discipline. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency in CMM programming languages (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS). Experience with advanced metrology equipment such as laser scanners CT scanners or structured light systems. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or similar continuous improvement methodology training. Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g. Minitab JMP) for process capability studies. Ability to interpret and utilize CAD models (e.g. SolidWorks CATIA) for measurement planning and analysis.
