It's a great time to join AAA The Auto Club Group!JOIN THE TEAM COMMITTED TO DRIVING YOUR CAREER FORWARDJob Type:Full timeExempt/Non Exempt:HourlyJob Description:This role requires up to 3 days of weekly reporting to the ACG administrative office building located at:1 Auto Club DriveDearborn, Michigan 48126Job Title- Michigan Claim Support Assistant IReports to: Manager of Claim Support OperationsWhat you will do:Provide support to the Claim department by completing intermediate level tasks that require an understanding of claim or business functions and processes and the organization and workflow for one or more claim lines of business and multiple claim systems. Work under limited supervision to complete a set of related tasks to accomplish an objective. Review and interpret facts in a claim-oriented context to assign claims based on pre-established business rules. Receive inbound and make outbound customer phone calls to resolve claims needs. Resolve assignment conflicts and issues as needed. communicate effectively with others in a work environment and with the public. May be assigned tasks normally handled by the Claim Support Processor or Claims Support Assistant II when necessary.Additional Responsibilities within Vendor Account Unit include, but are not limited to:Interact with adjusters and vendors to obtain correct identification information and validate information with the Internal Revenue ServiceMaintain and coordinate vendor information in multiple Claims systemsReview, identify and resolve potential vendor duplicates and omissionsSupervisory Responsibilities:NoneHow you will benefit:A competitive hourly salary between $18.00 - $21.00ACG offers excellent and comprehensive benefits packages, including:Medical, dental and vision benefits401k MatchPaid parental leave and adoption assistancePaid Time Off (PTO), company paid holidays, CEO days, and floating holidaysPaid volunteer day annuallyTuition assistance program, professional certification reimbursement program and other professional development opportunitiesAAA MembershipDiscounts, perks, and rewards and much moreRequired Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify)Education:High School Diploma or equivalentOROne year of experience in processing, customer service or business administrationA valid driver's license is required if the primary responsibilities of the role involve conducting in-person inspections or frequent in-person meetings with members.Experience in:Working with P.C. software applicationsMaintaining accurate files and recordsIdentification, investigation, and resolution of problemsProcessing transactions andposting to appropriate accountsOrganizing and prioritize multiple tasksCommunicating effectively (oral and written)Using basic math skillsUsing automated processing and computer systemsPerforming data entry dutiesKnowledge of:Data processing techniquesTechniques used to audit dataBusiness processing procedures Skills and Ability to:Successfully complete General Claims TrainingGather data and prepare reportsCompose routine correspondence including letters and memosPreferred QualificationsThe ability to multi-task various assignments at onceKeen attention to detailsExcellent communication skills both oral and written1+ years of customer service experienceThe ability to work independentlyTax experience a plus, but not requiredThe ability to work within a team environmentExcellent technical/computer skillsCall center experience preferred but not requiredWork EnvironmentThis is a hybrid position with work done both in office and from a remote basis.This position requires up to 3 days per week in office, and at least 2 days per week working from a remote home office location. This is subject to change based on amendments and/or modifications to the ACG Flex Work policy.All eligible candidates should reside in a commutable distance to Dearborn, Michigan.
