OverviewWe are seeking a Solution Architect responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions that enable mission-critical business processes within a federal environment. This role serves as the technical authority for Dynamics 365 architecture, configuration, customization, and integration, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives and government requirements.The Solution Architect works closely with government stakeholders, program leadership, developers, and functional analysts to translate business needs into effective technical solutions while providing technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle. This role is responsible for guiding solution design, overseeing system integrations and data migration efforts, supporting testing and deployment activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable federal security and accessibility standards.The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform with strong communication and leadership skills to deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions that support mission success.ContributionsKey Responsibilities:Serve as the primary SME for Microsoft Dynamics 365 architecture, configuration, and customization decisionsLead requirements gathering sessions with government stakeholders to translate business needs into Dynamics solutionsDesign, configure, and customize Dynamics 365 modulesDevelop and maintain workflows, business rules, plugins, Power Automate flows, and custom entitiesOversee data migration, integration, and interoperability between Dynamics 365 and other federal systemsEnsure compliance with federal security frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, Section 508)Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and functional analystsSupport system testing, UAT, deployment, and post-go-live stabilizationDocument system design, configurations, and standard operating proceduresQualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (equivalent experience considered) preferred5+ years of experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutionsDemonstrated expertise in at least one Dynamics 365 module (CE/CRM, F&O, or Power Platform)Experience with Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)Strong understanding of Dataverse, plugin development, and API integrationsPrior experience supporting federal government clients or contractsAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearanceExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to government stakeholdersPreferred:Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification(s) (e.g., MB-200, MB-210, MB-400, PL-200)Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologiesFamiliarity with federal accessibility (Section 508) and security compliance requirementsExperience with Azure DevOps for work item tracking and CI/CD pipelinesAbout steampunkSteampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $175,000 to $220,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
