Job description:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The MIG Welder is responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience operating welding equipment, interpreting blueprints, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on steel components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and welding specifications.
• Set up and operate MIG welding equipment and related fabrication tools.
• Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and quality.
• Grind, clean, and prepare materials before and after welding.
• Measure and align materials to ensure proper fit and assembly.
• Maintain welding equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or quality concerns.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• Welding certification from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Frequently lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and work in various positions.
