MIG Welding at SKL'D
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Robotic Welder
Location: Griffin, GA
Schedule: 1st Shift
Pay: $20-$25Hr Depending On Experience
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Job Summary
We are hiring a Robotic Welder for a client in the manufacturing industry. This role is responsible for operating and programming robotic welding equipment while performing manual MIG welding as needed to support production. The ideal candidate brings hands-on welding experience, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Operate and program robotic welding equipment efficiently
Perform MIG welding and manual welding during robot cycles as needed
Load and unload materials using hand, overhead jib crane, or forklift
Monitor and adjust machine controls to address programming faults or malfunctions
Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
Utilize templates, fixtures, and clamps to align parts for quality production
Conduct preventative maintenance on welding equipment
Must Haves
Minimum of 2 years experience in robotic welding and programming
Proficiency in MIG welding and manual welding techniques
Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
Experience operating forklifts, power tools, and overhead cranes
Physical ability to walk, stand, kneel, bend, and lift over 50 pounds
Preferred Skills
Strong math skills for measurements and calculations
Proficient in accurate reading of measurements - standard and metric
Basic mechanical knowledge and use of hand tools
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Computer skills for programming and operation
