JOB TITLE: Military Vehicle Maintenance Technician - DEFENSE LOCATION: White Sands Missile Range NM PAY RATE: $30/hour We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client. Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation Benefits: Medical dental and vision (Cigna) Perks: Bonus potential Priority access via Tier 1 supplier Openings Nationwide: Thousands of opportunities across the U.S. Qualifying Questions: Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary Summary: Assemble troubleshoot calibrate adjust test diagnose and maintain electronic mechanical and hydraulic equipment components and systems per schematics engineering drawings and work instructions. Operate test equipment conduct functional and performance tests and document results in the prescribed format. Perform precise calibration and alignment checks execute modifications part replacements and prepare required compounds and solutions. Provide hands-on mechanical support for HIMARS M270 and other military vehicles including preventive maintenance fault isolation and repair of diesel and gasoline powertrain systems. Requirements: Clearance required (ability to obtain). High school diploma or GED Familiarity with gasoline and diesel engines; proven troubleshooting ability on vehicle powertrain systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings wiring diagrams and maintenance manuals. No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided for qualified candidates. Safety shoes required. After several months on assignment may require operation of a forklift. Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR). Desired Skills: Prior experience as a diesel mechanic on heavy-duty equipment (e.g. bulldozers large industrial diesel engines). Demonstrated experience with military platforms such as M270 HIMARS HUMVEE or comparable tactical vehicles.
