IMMEC Inc, an Industrial Services company, is seeking experienced Ironworkers. Preferably 5+ years' experience. Must be able to pass a background check and have a clean driving record. IMMEC Inc, is a drug free workplace.
Responsibilities:
  • Safety focused for self and entire job site.
  • Plan and execute the details of work; gathers tools equipment and materials.
  • Monitor the welding and fitting process to ensure compliance with AISC Fabrication and Erector requirements.
  • Maintain and organize tools, equipment and the overall work site.
  • Develop relationships with the client/site superintendents.
  • Provide leadership for IMMEC Ironworkers and steel erectors on a day-to-day basis.
  • Maintain job quality and ensure schedule compliance.
  • Maintain Quality Assurance inspection reports per AISC standard.
  • Track material and labor cost to efficiently complete jobs on time and on budget.
  • Identify potential change orders and communicate daily with IMMEC Project Management.
  • Steel Erection.
  • Welding and bolting.
  • Oxy/acetylene torch operation.
  • Operate equipment (Forklift, scissor lift, boom lift).
  • Print reading.
  • Assist with time entry for craft workers.
  • Timeliness and ability to work full time.
  • Ability to work in other trades during times steel erection is not being performed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Skills
  • Proven experience as structural steel ironworker
  • Ability to use welding and bolting procedures to properly complete the work
  • Ability to follow all procedures with a positive attitude
  • Safe operation of forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts
  • Experience with different types of rigging and able to use rigging charts to properly erect structural steel
  • Knowledge of the properties of structural steel and other material
  • Ability to read blueprints, manuals
  • Good at math with analytical abilities
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
  • Ability to qualify SMAW weld test
  • Ability to work with other than structural i.e. stairs, rails, ladders
  • Ability to work in a mechanical environment at times
  • Able to obtain OSHA 30 Certification via in-house classes
