DescriptionCome join a dynamic Mobile Engineering team working on the world-class Marriott Bonvoy apps. As a Mobile DevOps Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability scalability and efficiency of our mobile development lifecycle. This hands-on position focuses on maintaining and optimizing build and test pipelines for both iOS and Android enabling rapid delivery of high-quality features to millions of users worldwide.You will collaborate closely with mobile engineers QA and platform teams in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment to implement best practices and cutting-edge tools. Your responsibilities include writing and running scripts for code quality checks code smell detection metrics collection automated testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD). You will also drive improvements in automation monitoring and release processes to enhance developer velocity and application stability.Key Responsibilities:Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines for iOS and Android applications using tools like Fastlane Jenkins GitHub Actions Harness SonarQube and moreDevelop maintain and execute scripts for static code analysis code quality metrics and automated test executionImplement and manage automated testing frameworks (unit UI integration) across mobile platformsMonitor and optimize build performance ensuring fast and reliable delivery to app storesCollaborate with mobile engineers to troubleshoot build failures and improve pipeline resilienceIntegrate tools for code coverage performance monitoring and security scanningDrive adoption of best practices for version control branching strategies and release managementResearch and implement new technologies to improve automation and developer experienceCANDIDATE PROFILEEducation and ExperienceRequired:5 years of experience in Mobile DevOps build engineering or related rolesStrong communication skills to collaborate across engineering and product teamsStrong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins Azure DevOps GitHub Actions Fastlane Harness)Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Bash Python Ruby) for automation tasksFamiliarity with iOS and Android build systems (Xcode Android Studio Gradle) and dependency managementExperience with automated testing frameworks (Swift Testing XCTest XCUITest JUnit AndroidX Test Espresso Selenium/Appium etc.).Knowledge of code quality tools (SonarQube SwiftLint Detekt) and static analysisUnderstanding of mobile app deployment processes for App Store and Google PlayStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environmentPreferred:Experience with containerization (Docker) and/or cloud-based CI/CD environmentsExperience with AI coding assistants & tools to expedite and enhance development and test buildoutFamiliarity with monitoring and logging tools for mobile appsExposure to security best practices in mobile developmentKnowledge of SAFe Agile methodology and enterprise-scale mobile app deliveryCORE WORK ACTIVITIESManaging Application Development Standards Processes and ToolsWorks with direct reports to facilitate consistency of service delivery across client groupsFacilitates compliance with the standard set of application development tools and processes that will drive consistency and predictability throughout the SDLC for all client groups including:SDLC standard tools and processes for both waterfall and agile developmentEstimating standard tools and processes incorporating flexibility for small and large projectsDeployment standard tools and processesMonitors projects for adherence to defined application development processesCommunicates to Application Development leaders opportunities to create broader IT related and corporate standards and policies where necessaryCommunicates important application development policy changes that affect service provider and/or Marriott operationsManaging Day-To-Day Relationships with TeamsManages application development projects in partnership with IT teams business partners and providersProvides project management of business projectsOversees effective reporting within application development teamLeads project reviews with team on application development projectsManages day-to day relationships with all IT teams to promote the delivery of services that meet or exceed the client expectationsMonitors projects for alignment with defined business case processDrives timely resolution of escalated service delivery problems and minimizes the impact of any client service delivery issuesManages and improves service level reporting for application developmentProvides early warning to the appropriate Business Partnership & Planning leaders and team regarding degraded or missed service levelsAssists with application development and maintenance of service provider project management standards and toolsParticipates in client portfolio and demand management processes and engages service providers to ensure client satisfactionWorks with application development service providersValidates the service provider(s) performs the services agreed to by the master services agreement in a manner that is consistent with both the spirit and the letter of the agreementWorks with team to progress the service providers services to match client needsFacilitates team and service provider compliance with the agreementValidates service levels meet business needsFacilitates the definition and enforcement of good service provider contractsSupports the IT organizationProvides input to ITs business strategy and planning as neededSupports and follows defined IT Governance decision rights standards and practicesEmphasizes accuracy and effectiveness of estimating and planning management with teamProvides input to business/discipline and continent IT budgetsImplementing and Managing Continuous Improvement ProgramDrives adoption metrics to demonstrate continuous improvement and alignment with the industryDemonstrates continuous improvement through metrics of quality consistency and client satisfactionWorks with application development service providers IT teams and business
