ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable individual to join our team as a Mobile Equipment Operator in Bellingham and surrounding area. As an operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment and mobile plants to process aggregates at various rock quarries and pits. Your exceptional operating skills and attention to safety will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient manufacturing of our construction aggregate materials. In this role as a Mobile Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for customer relationships, giving great service with a friendly demeanor to ensure customers receive a high-level service and product from Cowden, and the production of quality aggregate materials. This can be a customer-facing role that requires a service-oriented mindset and a highly professional approach. As a member of the Cowden team, the Mobile Equipment and plant operators execute the daily tasks of operating and maintaining the aggregate wash plants, crushing plants, and perform administration related to the site operations.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Ensure assigned equipment is operated to original equipment manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices and that product outputs meet material quality specifications.
  • Complete, review, and dissect daily, weekly, monthly, and annual plant operation reports and metrics.
  • Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections and preventative maintenance actions are scheduled and completed.
  • Remove, rebuild, and replace component parts as required. Design and fabricate plant components as required. Complete, review, and dissect daily, weekly, monthly, and annual plant and equipment maintenance reports and schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to assist in the efficient operation of the site.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Work experience: Experience running crushers and screen plants

Additional Requirements:
  • Industrial wash plant operation experience an asset
  • Heavy mobile equipment operation experience an asset
  • Current CDL is preferred
  • Day shift, overtime, most weekends off
  • Industrial Crushing plant operation experience an asset
