Through its core values of innovation engagement and health equity HCPH strives to bring meaningful solutions to public health issues while keeping Harris County healthy and vibrant.Position Overview:Under the supervision of the Associate Director the Office of Communications Education and Engagement (OCEE) the Mobile Health Expansion Coordinator oversees the planning and execution of large scale community events for the Departments mobile programs. This individual ensures all tasks related to an event is taken care of from start to finish including idea conception pre-planning day-of logistics and post event evaluation. Responsibilities include scouting locations coordinating with division/offices communicating with partners managing vendor relationships and partner communications and overseeing budgets if applicable.Duties & Responsibilities:Coordinate with internal staff speakers and/or external partners/vendors to establish the requirements for an event and serve as liaison to HCPH leaders and participating Precinct staff throughout the planning process.Locate resources visit sites and lead pre-event meetings to help plan and make decisions about event design.Plan and facilitate logistics for all events including but not limited to contract negotiations guest lists venue preparation presentation materials security catering entertainment transportation equipment decor and marketing materials.Oversee guest experiences from conception through post-event review; manage on-site preparations production and event breakdown; and ensure consistent high-level service throughout all phases.Hold regular meetings with internal/external stakeholders and routine project status meetings with project team leaders.Build and maintain a comprehensive database of industry contacts vendors and venues.Plans coordinates and compiles materials including work plans budgets and proposal narratives in accordance with county protocols for leadership and other county departments.Tracks and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of mobile events and provide recommendations for improvement using data.Other duties as assigned including special tasks involved in responding to an emergency event.Harris County is an Equal Opportunity Employer you need special services or accommodations please call or email This position is subject to a criminal history check. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.Physical Demands:This is a largely sedentary role; however some duties would require the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and bending & standing for periods at a time.
