Job DescriptionJob DescriptionVirginia Lube Inc. is looking for Automotive Lube Technicians for its local Jiffy Lube® locations. Experience in the quick lube industry is preferred but not required as we will train you. Every Lube Technician will receive comprehensive training through our award winning Jiffy Lube® University computer based training as well as hands on training. We offer a variety of benefits including paid holidays, and paid time off.Job ResponsibilitiesThe primary function of a Lube Technician is to safely provide an excellent service experience for our customers. Lube Technicians work with their hands on cars, such as changing oil and filters, adding fluids, checking tire pressure and washing windows. They must also have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as be able to speak effectively with customers and employees. Some of the key duties of this position will include:Check and communicate oil level to other teammatesCheck tire pressure for proper inflationInspect and refill fluid levels as necessaryComplete vehicle inspectionInstall a new oil drain plug and a new oil filterClean and lubricate fittings as neededEnsure that the service center is clean and presentableRequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Valid Driver's License.Age 17 or older.Ability to speak, read, and write English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees.Can complete the required computer based training (CBT) modules.Attendance is an essential function of employment and you must be timely and ready to work your scheduled shifts.Physical RequirementsThe Lube Technician position will require the employee to regularly service cars.
