The Diesel Mechanics will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel vehicles and equipment to ensure they operate at peak performance. The ideal candidates will have strong technical skills, a dedication to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are highly preferred.Key Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle systems.- Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.- Complete mobile service calls to repair vehicles on-site for customers as required.- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and parts used.- Communicate effectively with customers and the service team about repair needs and timelines.- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies.Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in diesel mechanics is preferred.- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, with shop and/or mobile repair experience.- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and diagnostic equipment.- Valid drivers license; CDL is a plus for mobile mechanics.- Bilingual strongly preferred.- Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.- Ability to work in various environments, including on-site locations for mobile repairs.- Commitment to providing high-quality repairs and exceptional customer service.Compensation:- Competitive hourly rate: $18-$32 per hour, based on experience.- Overtime opportunities.- Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off and holidays.Why Join ?- Work in a supportive, team-oriented environment.- Opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.- Engage with a diverse and valued customer base.Fleetbarn is an equal opportunity employer.
