Job DescriptionJob DescriptionProcess TechnicianPay Rate - $30/hr.+Job DescriptionThe Molding Process Technician is responsible for operating several injection molding machines and industrial robots to mold plastic components according to specifications. This role requires the ability to plan and execute a sequence of operations and make significant decisions regarding the operation of molds and machines. Additionally, the role involves supporting the training of new Molding Process Technician Trainees and assisting in their understanding of internal processes and procedures.ResponsibilitiesComplete daily preventive maintenance checklists on assigned machines.Set up machines, heater boxes, cooling systems, valve gate systems, and robotics to achieve maximum operating efficiencies.Set up molding processes using decoupled molding principles and established process control limits.Maintain quality parts by adjusting machine controls using decoupled molding principles.Run samples of color, material, or process as required.Monitor machine parameters on the Mattec system to ensure process compliance.Operate a forklift to move material, production, and molds as needed.Enter production data into the computer and analyze data.Fill out charts and other reports and generate checklists.Perform Molding Associate duties during the first article inspection process.Use adjustable measuring instruments such as micrometers and various gauges.Understand molding of various plastic materials as well as hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical maintenance.Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead.Follow all work rules and policies.Essential Skills3+ years of process tech experience with injection mold equipment.Ability to work on a weekend day.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in process, injection mold, plastic, troubleshooting, mold, production, mechanical, and molding.Why Work Here?Join a dynamic work environment that values continuous learning and development. The shifts include a pass-down time, so start times may be 6-12 minutes earlier. Enjoy a $1 shift differential for 2nd or 3rd shift and an additional weekend differential of $1.
