Our mission is to improve the lives of runaway homeless abused and neglected youth and their families through services that empower them to thrive.Intern Description:Sasha Bruce Youthwork is looking for an intern to work with the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation. The intern will work with the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation to conduct an implementation evaluation of one of our programs.The intern will also help in implementing organization-wide client satisfaction survey. This will include: implementing the survey at all residential programs (which will include talking and interviewing clients) analyzing the results (which will include using Excel and creating tables) writing summaries and presenting the results to senior staff.Other Responsibilities:Assist with data visualization tasks including translating quantitative data into digestible easy to understand visualsAssist with data cleaning data entry and quality assurance within internal databases (e.g. Apricot HMIS Excel-based Trackers)Support qualitative and quantitative data analysis for program performance outcomes and grant reportingDevelop or update monitoring tools such as surveys forms and logic modelsSupport the preparation of dashboards briefs and visualizations for internal and external audiencesParticipate in site visits program observations or staff interviews as neededContribute to mid-year and end-of-summer evaluation summariesPerform additional administrative and research tasks to support the MEL teamQualificationsOrganized open-minded a good listener an active communicator and willing to learn new skills.Current undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate) in public health public policy social sciences education data analytics or related fieldStrong analytical skills and attention to detailExperience with Microsoft Office and Canva required; familiarity with statistical tools (e.g. SPSS R Stata) a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsInterest in youth development social services and community-based evaluationAbility to work independently take initiative and manage time effectivelyCommitment to equity confidentiality and trauma-informed practiceInternship LogisticsSchedule:30-40 hours per weekLocation:HybridSupervision:Intern will report to the Director or Monitoring &EvaluationBenefits:Hands-on experience with nonprofit evaluation practicesOpportunities to contribute to real-world impact assessmentProfessional mentorship and networkingDuration: 10 weeks (approximately June 1 2026-August 7 2026; dates flexible)Compensation: Unpaid InternshipLocation: Hybrid; in person activities in Washington DC *Requires background and drug testRequired Experience:Intern Key Skills Campaigns,Abinitio,AutoCAD 3D,Hardware & Networking,Customer Support,Arabic Employment Type : Intern Experience: years Vacancy: 1
