We are a year-round school where children are encouraged and supported to do the important lifework of becoming a fully developed, whole person who is mindful of individual, environmental, and community responsibilities.MINE, ME US Montessori School is looking for teachers who:View young children as human beings deserving of thehighest respectfor their unique wisdom, thoughts, feelings, and intuitionAre passionate about our natural world and about working with children to create habits of environmental stewardshipEnjoy the world of food and feel compelled to share with young children the joys of a high-quality culinary experienceTruly and fundamentally enjoy being around childrenAre interested in a career, not just a jobAre available for full-time, in-person workDutiesJob duties include:caring for young children through safe and effective care practicesimplementing Montessori educational principles for toddler educationassisting with feeding, meals, and diaperingconsistent and effective communication with lead teacher and other assistantsmaintaining a clean learning environment by using safe hand-washing practices and assisting in cleaning eating, play, and sleep areas dailySchedule:Full-time8-hour shift with a one-hour paid, off-campus breakMonday to Friday, including most federal holidays (exceptions include Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July)Overtime availableOccasional evening events, such as Parent Education events, job training sessions, etc.3 full weeks of scheduled paid time off plus some paid holidays [Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving (3 days), Fourth of July]One day of Faculty Professional Development each monthRequirementsWhile experience teaching and/or working in a school is not necessary, we deeply value your interest in investing in young children and their education.
