Born from a small restaurant in New Orleans Mid-City neighborhood Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group has grown to operate two brands with over 20 restaurants throughout the Southeast (and still growing!). Make your money and be home in time for dinner!Job Summary:Accurately and efficiently preparehot food products as well as prepare and portion food prior to cooking. Responsible for performing other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.What does it take to be a Ruby Krewe MemberA firm belief that butter and bacon make everything better!Able to follow Ruby Standards and recipes consistently responsible for the quality of products servedComplies with our standard portion sizes cooking methods quality standards and kitchen rules policies and proceduresMaintains a clean and sanitary work areaA minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cookingMust be able to communicate clearly with managers kitchen and front of house krewe membersBe able to reach bend stoop and frequently lift up to 50lbsBe able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)Other Duties: Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
