Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLocation Preferences: Denver, CO (preferred)Chicago, ILBaltimore, MDRemote in the US will be consideredROLE OVERVIEW Pivot Energy is seeking a team-oriented Territory Manager, Site Origination, who will be responsible for early-stage site acquisition and project development efforts in Colorado and potentially other markets. The Territory Manager will assess solar land sites, initiate outreach efforts to prospective landowners, conduct introductory phone calls with prospective landowners, and negotiate and process leases for signatures. There are many moving pieces to developing solar projects, and the ability to prioritize, multitask, and communicate effectively is paramount. The Project Development – Origination team is hardworking and relationally-driven, and the ideal candidate embodies these characteristics.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESNegotiate and sign leases with landowners of identified sites for solar developmentCoordinate with GIS and Marketing departments to create and execute direct-mail, omni-channel, and cold-call campaigns to prospective landownersReceive and evaluate introductory calls from potential landownersConduct preliminary diligence on potential solar sitesEvaluate the viability of sites through site visits and desktop diligence review.Organize and maintain files and project records using Pivot’s databases and project management softwareREQUIRED COMPETENCIES3+ years of solar land acquisition experience, or supplemental related professional experienceSelf-starter who can work independently and with a teamAbility to prioritize tasks and manage complex evaluation processes for a significant number of potential sites to inform sound site selection and decision makingExcellent communication and public relations skillsPositive attitude and ability to enhance the company’s reputation through interpersonal interactionsStrong computer skills in all basic programs, Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, GIS tools preferred.Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to sitesAbility to travel, make own travel arrangements, and be self-reliantPREFERRED COMPETENCIESExperience or education with real estate and/or energy developmentCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSThe estimated base salary range for this position is $80,0000-$120,000, along with eligibility for the company’s substantial bonus plan and commission plan with a target bonus of 20% of annual salary (prorated in the first year based on start date).
