Job Description
SUMMARY:A detailed-oriented passionate and dynamic individual is needed to be an integral part of our quality team to help drive product and process this position youll collaborate with many functions of the organization Engineering Repairs Assembly Operations and Supply Chain. You will lead product investigations and data analysis to determine reasons for quality issues and escalations facilitating actions to drive sustainable solutions that provide measurable long-term improvements.Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship.JOB DUTIESAnalyze customer complaints and investigate field failures - translate learnings into actionable engineering and customer-facing solutions. Represent the voice of the customer and coordinate corrective / preventive actions follow-ups and timely reportingSupport suppliers in 8D responses and conduct regular quality update meetings including written investigation reports and assuring effectiveness of supplier corrective actionsTrack all quality escalations create accurate assessments provide efficient responses and drive effective resolutions to meet customer expectations. Lead cross-functional meetings to discuss critical issues and delegate actions for product quality and process performance improvementMaintain baseline factory KPI metrics (scrap rework FPY etc.) and identify areas of opportunity for improvement assuring clearly documented identification control and disposition of nonconformitiesIdentify critical assembly defects track product performance and communicate key learnings and developments to appropriate workflows for responses and corrective actionsAnalyze electrical systems diagnose critical malfunctions and conduct electrical tests to investigate and resolve customers product issues.Troubleshoot motors drives and systems using diagnostic equipment to determine root cause and corrective actionsConduct critical analysis on engineering changes (ECNs) to ensure specified changes have no impact on degradation of product quality or required function. Act as a product expert for cross-functional team member technical questions and concerns EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelors Degree (or equivalent experience) in electrical engineering electromechanical manufacturing engineering or a related engineering field3 years of engineering experience preferably at a manufacturing companyKNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIESExceptional analytical capability problem solving skills and root-cause analysis including FMEAs 8Ds SPC and 5 Whys Demonstrated expertise to effectively communicate corrective & preventive action (CAPA) customer complaints and product improvement activities within the organizationDemonstrated understanding of product design change and document change control product and process verification and validation and production process control methodologiesProficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of SharePoint a plusAbility to work in a fast-paced deadline driven high impact environmentPHYSICAL DEMANDS:May require travel and specific safety training to work in dangerous and extreme environment conditions while collecting data or commissioning new systems at the customers location.COMPANY INFORMATION:Motion offers an excellent benefits package which includes options for healthcare coverage 401(k) tuition reimbursement vacation sick and holiday pay.Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.
