A Mozzarella Maker is responsible for making fresh Mozzarella according to Eatalys authentic Italian recipe. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager.Utilizes fresh mozzarella curd to heat stretch by hand and make housemade mozzarella and other pasta filata offerings fresh daily according to Eataly recipesEngages all senses: tastes smells feels listens and observes all characteristics of each batch to maintain and elevate qualityRecords daily the weight of ingredients used batch sizes and amounts transferred to other outletsMakes variations in time cycles and ingredients used as necessary for succeeding batchesCares for and handles products with careful attention to quality control and waste managementWeighs packages and labels mozzarella lab offeringsStocks display refrigerators neatly accurately and in a timely mannerProvides guest service and information on mozzarella-making process to guestsCleans work station thoroughly following food safety best practicesEnsures collateral supplies are in stock and being utilized properly in the labPerforms other duties as required or assignedQualifications : Basic math skillsGood communication skillsExcellent attention to detailPrevious cheese making and/or food production experience preferredHigh school graduate or equivalent preferredJob RequirementsAvailability to work a flexible schedule including weekendsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours including standing walking bending and squattingAbility to work within a kitchen production environment and use commercial kitchen equipmentCompensation: This position pays a base rate of $18 - $24 Additional Information : Benefits and PerksMedical Dental Vision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Parental Leave401K with match or RRSPBonus programFree family meal dailyDiscounts at EatalyClasses on products and Italian cuisineReferral bonus programand more!Eataly is an equal employment opportunity employer.
