We also value quality communication skills in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary and often multi-agency service environment.The MRSS Team provides outreach to youth & families under 21yrs old to help them resolve a person-defined crisis and link with ongoing support services as needed. This is a Monday – Friday position with regular scheduled hours of Monday-Friday 8am to 5:00pm but the person must be willing to work two nights during the week up to 8pm. All employees are eligible to participate in our 403B retirement program.Requirements:Duties of Youth Counselor for Mobile Response & Stabilization Services (MRSS) include:Dedicated crisis counselor for youth and families in crisis Travel to provide crisis assessment/intervention, safety planning, and follow up careProvide brief intervention along with ongoing assessment and linkage to services and needs up to 6 weeksWork together with a team of counselors/social workers, case managers, peer support specialist and the Director to provide prevention, sustainability, and reduce trauma in youth and their family members. Be a member of the newest and most valued service line for youth as we increase awareness and bring hope to the Crisis Continuum. Qualifications of Youth Counselor for Mobile Response & Stabilization Services (MRSS) include:Bachelor’s degree in related fieldLicensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) licensureHave/willing to get their NPI and Ohio Medicaid numbers (we will assist)Have and maintain an excellent driving record2 years’ experience working in the behavioral healthcare fieldPreference given to candidates with work experience in the following areas:Experience with youth and families in community behavioral health or crisis intervention settingExperience in motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and trauma informed care
