Job Description
DescriptionThis position is central to the missionaries role to Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement repentance baptism receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end. The Training Area Assistant is an entry support level individual contributor that supports the Manager and Training Office Coordinator in a variety of administrative tasks to increase the organization fluidity of the area. They may support a variety of needs for the area including onboarding teacher assignments employee tenure scheduling and curriculum as directed by their supervisor or manager. Their support allows the Manager and Trainers to focus on training missionaries and missionary facing staff.ResponsibilitiesReports to supervisor or manager level in the Training Department.Assists the Supervisor or Manager in the following:Coordinates the interviewing and hiring of applicantsSchedules and supports onboarding processOrganizes reports projections and statistical data to forecast area needsTracks employee tenure and schedules performance review meetings during eligible time frameCoordinates shift assignments by semesterCoordinates district companionship and classroom assignmentsUpdates MTC Tools according to assignmentsHandles unique needs of missionaries Scheduling Training Medical/clinical travel etcFields phone calls and emails from staff in areaMaintains and updates area webpageMay be asked to take on additional responsibilities:Leads and directs the work of other employees service missionaries and/or volunteersCreates modifies and improves curriculum resourcesAssists in overseeing the area substitution process and tracking any undesirable patterns of behaviorGenerates teacher performance reports in coordination with the supervisorFills in for Manager in meetings as assignedMay be asked to assist in assessing the proficiency level of missionaries and teacher applicants in the target language.May take on MTC Teacher responsibilities to teach missionaries as hours allow.May include other temporary assigned duties at the MTC (e.g. assisting with Mission Leadership Seminar)QualificationsRequired: Confidentiality and professionalism Strong leadership skills Exceptional critical thinking and process design Must be able to work independently and with others Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint) Google Suite (Drive Sheets Documents) Excellent interpersonal public relations and communication skills Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure on own initiative Organizational skills and ability to prioritizeTo successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using monitors/equipment.Preferred: 1 year of experience as an MTC Teacher or in another MTC capacity 1 year of office or administration experience Key Skills Bidding,Apps,Benefits,Corporate Recruitment,Android Development Employment Type : Part-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
