About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Multi-Axis Lathe Machinist
• Pay Rate Range: $30.00-$35.00/Hour
• Location: Bloomington, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 7AM-4PM
• Position Type: Temp to Hire
Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Must have 5 to 7 years related set-up and/or operational experience with Mori Seiki multi axis equipment.
2. Demonstration of basic machining skills either observed in the shop or evaluated by skills assessments.
3. A good understanding of tool paths, use of MDI and a demonstrated discipline of problem-solving skills.
4. Proficient at understanding the programs pertaining to Mori Seiki NTX, NZX and NL series machines with Mori Seiki controls.
5. Proficient in the operation and set-up of Mori Seiki equipment using established programs and tool lists to run production jobs utilizing NTX, NZX and NLX series machines with Mori Seiki controls within the stated set up times.
6. Proficient with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
7. Previous experience with tight tolerances.
8. ISO / AS9100 experience a plus.
9. Able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for an entire shift.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Set up and operate Mori Seiki multi-axis lathes and controls.
2. Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
3. Edit and troubleshoot programs using G & M codes.
4. Verify part quality and complete required documentation.
5. Work with tight tolerances ( 0.0001").
6. Maintain compliance with ISO / AS9100 standards.
7. Perform QC checks at indicated intervals as required on all parts that are running in the work centers to assure production of conforming parts.
8. Train and assist others on the use of all inspection equipment in the operation.
9. Follow all work instructions and Shop Floor Standards.
10. Follow safety requirements and company rules.
11. Clean work area and machines as required.
12. Perform machine maintenance as required.
13. Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
