A global leader in combating antisemitism countering extremism and battling bigotry wherever and whenever it happens ADL works to protect democracy and ensure a just and inclusive society for all.PRIMARY FUNCTION:The Multimedia Assistant will support the Editorial team in conceiving and creating best-in-class multimedia content to elevate the centers work on extremism antisemitism and hate. The Multimedia Assistant will also work with staff from COE and the Center on Technology and Society to support their work.ResponsibilitiesPrimary: Create video content and graphics that resonate on social media platforms including Instagram and YouTube to communicate and elevate COEs workWork with subject matter experts the editorial team and the communications department to conceive of innovative content approaches for complex ideasStay abreast of social media trends as well as the social media approaches of competitorsWork across departments to coordinate promotion efforts and develop COEs sub-brand identityThis job description provides a general overview of the role and its key responsibilities. It is not an exhaustive list of all duties and ADL reserves the right to assign additional tasks as needed.QualificationsSkills:Excellent social-first graphic design and video editing skillsA strong knowledge of the zeitgeist and ethos of various popular social media platformsA deep working knowledge of social media trends and algorithmsAttributes:Ability to maintain high standards and a sense of humor while working on multiple projects under tight deadlinesA creative collaborative and detail-oriented approach to projectsCommitted to contributing to a culture where everyone thrivesCreative and innovative; takes initiative.Results-oriented a problem solver (versus a problem identifier)Excels in dynamic environments that require adaptabilityAbility to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyEnergized by ADLs mission and workWork Experience:The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio of multimedia content including short-form videos that convey complex ideas in a clear and compelling format.Demonstrated practical expertise in platform-native content design and production including creating short-form video and interactive assets for key social media channels.Previous experience working on a range of extremism-related topics is a strong asset.Education:B.A. or equivalent experience preferredWork Environment:ADL is a hybrid environment; this role may require 3 days in the office.This role is part-time at 25 hours a week.This role is temporary funded through June 30 2026 with possibility of renewal.Compensation:This position has a hourly range of $35 to $40. This salary range is reflective of a full-time position based in (New York New York). Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience and reflect the budget for a given position and since ADL has a location-based compensation structure there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
