Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is looking for a Munitions Program Manager 2 to lead a high visibility, technology critical program where technical excellence meets people focused leadership. This position is required to be full-time, on-site in the Plymouth, MN location. No remote/telework arrangement is available for this position. Applicants must have the ability to obtain a US Government Secret security clearance.

The Munitions Program Manager 2 will be responsible for delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to develop further opportunities. This role requires deep technical expertise in munitions, proven program management acumen, and the ability to operate within a secure, classified environment. Success hinges on building deep, trusted relationships with customers, nurturing high performing cross functional teams, and unlocking new business opportunities. Reporting to the Program Director, you will guide multiple programs across the business unit pipeline from proposal through close out.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, or related field with 8 + years of experience supporting U.S. Government contracts or comparable project management roles; or a Master's degree with 6 + years of likewise experience
• Experience as a Project Lead, IPT Lead, or Cost Account Manager delivering cost, schedule, and performance results with teams of 5 + personnel.
• Proficiency with MS Project, SAP/ERP, and Earned Value Management tools
• Strong communication and people centric leadership skills
• Ability to obtain a US Government Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Science, Engineering, or Business.
• Knowledge of fuze types (proximity, impact, time, programmable), warhead design (high explosive, shaped charge, kinetic), safety & arming devices, and test range operations
• Experience in aerospace/defense, DoD, or NASA programs.
• PMP certification.
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies.
• Active security clearance.
