ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES shall include but not be limited to the following:Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and times designatedPlan a program of study that meets the individual needs interests and abilities of the students in accordance with State and District requirements for curriculumCreate a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the studentsPrepare for assigned classes. Show written evidence of instructional planning following established District formatGuide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals. Based on these goals establish clear objectives for all lessons units projects etc.Encourage students to set and maintain acceptable standards of classroom behaviorEmploy a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the studentsAssist students to become self-directed learnersUnderstand and apply knowledge about student growth and development in order to provide maximum student learningImplement the Districts philosophy of education the instructional goals and objectivesParticipate in school goal setting achievement and assessmentRecognize the learning disabilities of students and provide an appropriate instructional program to meet those needsEnforce safety precautions and guidelines to protect students equipment materials and facilitiesMaintain accurate complete and correct records as required by law District policy and administrative regulationsAssist the administration in implementing all policies and rules of classroom behavior procedure and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and equitable mannerMake provisions to be available for educational related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requestedPlan and supervise purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s) and provide input on aide/volunteer performanceMaintain and improve personal/professional competenceAttend staff meetings and serve on District/school committees as requiredPrepare substitute guidelines and lesson plans in timely mannerEnforce and follow the policies and administrative regulations of the DistrictPerform all duties as assignedEducation and/or Experience Required: Valid Arizona Teachers Certificate Music Endorsement Key Skills Experience Working With Students,Classroom Management,Algebra,Behavior Management,Classroom Experience,Computer Operation,EDI,Lesson Planning,Special Education,Teaching,Cordova,Writing Skills Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
