With a keen understanding of laws tax regulations and compliance this role will support accountingcontrols and compliance procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting consistent with US GAAP and local reporting requirements. This team uses innovative financial systems andcontrols data security and robust processes to protect the companys assets and support its short- and long-term global scaled addition the position holder will provide valuable decision support lead PPI and support functional development and business objectives.You will have an opportunity to build strong interpersonal alliances to understand and mitigate risk as well as bring together opportunities and provide valuable support to all business partnersKey Responsibilities/what you will do:Ensure local tax requirements supported by site teams are completed on a timely basisEnsures compliance with US GAAP Sarbanes-Oxley requirements company policy and standard operating procedure; recommends changes to strengthencontrolenvironmentSupports internal and external audit requirementsDrives continuous improvement and uses systems to increasecontrols and efficienciesPartners with functional and business leadership and peers in driving business performance to meet short and long term objectivesLead and support monthly closing activities including journal entries accruals reporting and analysis processesIdentify and lead PPIs and deployment and systems implementationsListens proactively and collaborates across functional linesOther ad-hoc dutiesAnalyze financial and business performance against key business metrics and financial highlights that will enable understanding of progress against strategic / business plan and budgetsHow you will get here:An undergraduate degree in Business Finance or Accounting is a plusA global accounting qualification (ACCA CPA ACA CIMA) is requiredPossess excellent academic credentials and strong financial competenceExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distill and translate technical concepts and US GAAP to non technical collaborators and vice versaExperience in the Pharma or Life Sciences industry is a plusThe candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of finance and accounting experienceValidated deep understanding of ERPs (e.g. SAP Oracle Hyperion) and data visualization and analytics tools (e.g. Power BI Cognos)Working understanding of financial accounting standards and internalcontrolsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distill and translate technical concepts to non technical collaborators and vice versaOur Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer.
