DescriptionWe are currently hiring a full-time On-Premise National Account Manager for Illinois and Wisconsin.The National Account Manager (NAM) is responsible for increasing availability and visibility of Boston Beer portfolio of brands within their assigned regional territory to generate depletion growth while adding value to our wholesaler and on-premise partners. Primary focus is dedicated to managing On Premise chain partners and regional chain points in their respective addition assist in developing the entire On-Premise class of trade.*Please note thatwhile this position is listed as working remotely our sales positions are field based and require you to live within the territory listed to visit accounts unless explicitly stated otherwise.The ideal candidate for this role is currently living in the city of Chicago.What Youll Brew:Be proficient in BBCs systems and selling process with retailers wholesalers and team of indirect reportsBe proficient in beer industry knowledge brewing and BBC product styleHunt for new business opportunities while growing current business in National/Region/Local account groups while managing budgets to proper ROIUtilize effective verbal and written communication with wholesaler accounts and coworkers including ability to deliver impactful presentationsMaintain and strengthen buyer & wholesaler relationships through strategic selling and superior customer serviceDevelop & drive Goals Strategies Objectives and Tactics for defined account baseEffectively mobilize wholesaler network and BBC sales teams to fulfill all BBC mandates sell vs. authorizations/approved packages compliance issues focus timeframes and other key selling opportunitiesWork closely with category management team to develop insights analysis and tools to drive business within the on-premise channelWhat Ingredients Youll Bring:Minimum Requirements:Bachelors degree or relevant work experience5-8 years as an Account Manager in the Alcohol industryExperience managing national or regional on-premise chain accounts/wholesalersAbility to work cross-functionally with internal teams including marketing finance and supply to execute account initiativesMust be able to lift weight equivalent to one case of beerValid drivers license registered and insured vehicle and ability to drive to and from accounts continuouslyLocal/regional travel to attend customer/wholesaler needs (30-50%)Preferred RequirementsDirect on premise multi-unit sales experience in the beer industryUnderstanding of the ILWI on-premise market landscape including distributor networks/key account dynamicsExcellent analytical skills; ability to interpret sales data and translate insights into actionable strategiesLevel: 6ICAt the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws we are open about our salary ranges. For this role the salary range is between $88000 and $169500. However its important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience skillset and location.
