The Division of Livestock Environmental Permitting (DLEP) is currently seeking an experienced Engineer to fill the Natural Resources Engineer 3 (NRE3) position. The selected candidate will be headquartered out of ODAs main Reynoldsburg office which offers free parking engagement activities and frequent food trucks (especially coffee trucks)!This NRE3 position is responsible for:Acts as project manager & conducts technical reviews of permits to install applications permits to operate applications for concentrated animal feeding facilities (CAFFs) to ensure compliance with technical requirements for issuance & performs technical assistance in livestock & manure facility design review hydro-geological & soils evaluation involving manure storage or treatment facilitiesDevelops & reviews plans for utilization treatment & distribution of manure for reuse as crop nutrient or other processed productInspects concentrated animal feeding facilities for construction quality control purposes operation & maintenanceActs as liaison between office & division field staff on project planning inspections/investigations and compliance issuesProvides technical assistance & interprets policies & procedures for divisionConducts pollution or complaint investigations as requestedReviews and updates any rules or statutes as requestedDevelop environmental enforcement cases and participate in environmental enforcement hearingsMaintains database information on permits inspections reports compliance & enforcementWe Support Diversity and Inclusion:ODA values its internal diversity and pledges to cultivate an inclusive and engaging environment for all employees where differences are embraced and celebrated.
