Mistras Alaska is seeking Non-Destructive Testing Trainee. The NDT Trainee will assist NDT level II and IIIs. The work schedule will be full-time based in Kenai supporting a large oil and gas client as an embedded position. Daily work shifts may be up to 12 hours or more depending on project needs located primarily in Kenai.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:40-hour Radiation Safety Course preferred.NDT training and OJT for different methods (UT RT PT MT VT) per ASNT SNT-TC-1A is preferred but not required.Current IRRSP or state card is preferred but not required.Current level I or higher Rope Access certification IRATA or willingness to obtain.Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and valid drivers license.ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:Must be able to routinely lift up to 75 lbs.Must be able to tolerate working in extreme climates (subzero temperatures) for extended periods of time.Must be comfortable working in cramped or confined spaces.This job description reflects managements assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.MISTRAS Group Inc. is committed to equal employment opportunity.
