JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary: This position is located in our Saginaw, Michigan facility. The below list of duties and responsibilities are not meant to be all-inclusive, and employees may be asked to perform other job-related tasks by their supervisor or manager. Labor Grade IV.V NDT (magnetic particle and eddy current inspections) inspectors will reach a Labor Grade VI.IV when they achieve their FAA repairperson's license. Due to ITAR regulations, must be a U.S. Person. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: COMMON JOB DUTIES:
  • Abide by all environmental, health and safety rules and regulations
  • Ability and willingness to train and perform all job duties of this position with the goal of attaining all skillsets within the position. This includes new equipment and processes introduced by the Company
  • Participate in the training of others as assigned
  • Maintain excellent attendance
  • Maintain the integrity of the required Quality/Inspection data and reporting it in an accurate manner
  • Maintain all job documentation as required
  • Housekeeping/cleaning of department
  • Participation in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain acceptable utilization
  • Abide by Plant Work Rules
  • Immediately respond to production stoppages, i.e. down machine, lack of material, missing tools, etc.
  • Maintain certifications and testing as required by the position
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:
  • Magnetic Particle Inspection
  • Eddy Current Inspection
  • General housekeeping
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Perform job functions and tasks required by Management and Supervision
REQUIRMENTS:
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Must be able to create and read shooting diagrams
  • Must be able to use inspection tools
  • Must be able to pass Jaeger Vision Test
  • Must be able to pass Ishihara-14 plates Eye Exam
  • Must obtain and maintain level II Magnetic Particle and Eddy Current Certifications
  • Must be able to achieve repair persons license under the FAA Anti-drug & Alcohol Program
  • Must provide information as to any previous FAA safety sensitive positions held and any positive drug test or refusals to test for a safety-sensitive position.
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to work any shift
  • Ability to read and interpret instructional materials including blueprints
  • Working knowledge and ability to use inspection tools, devices and methods
  • Ability to perform the physical aspects of the position
  • Ability to carry out tasks without close supervision
  • Ability to work together with others at all levels within the company
  • Previous NDT experience highly desirable
  • Proficiency with geometric tolerancing
  • Computer proficiency (D365)
  • Must be a safety conscious
Education/Experience: High School Diploma Certificates and Licenses:
  • Must obtain and maintain level II Magnetic Particle and Eddy Current Certifications
  • Must be able to achieve repair persons license under the FAA Anti-drug & Alcohol Program
Supervisory Responsibilities: None Language, Math, and Reasoning Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings, procedure manuals, set-up sheets, blueprints, government regulations, and technical procedures. Ability to define problems and collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to understand the speech of another person. Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand. Computer Skills: Basic operating skills are required.
