Job DescriptionJob Title: Ultrasonic NDT inspector Level 2 or 3 Location: Mt. View CA Level: P3 for level 2 (5 years) P4 for level 3 (8 years) Duration of the assignment (in months): 6 Department: Quality Hiring Manager: Jonathan Xavier Pay Rate (supplier mark-up will be added on top of this rate): 55/hour Onsite hybrid or remote: ONSITEPosition SummaryThe Nondestructive Inspector (NDI) Level 2 specializing in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) of composite materials will be a key member of the Quality team. This role involves utilizing multiple ultrasonic inspection methods to inspect critical aircraft components in accordance with defined requirements. The inspector will be responsible for setting up performing and interpreting NDI results to ensure product quality and conformance to Wisks engineering specifications and procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesSetup and standardize NDI equipment and conduct system performance checks to ensure system and inspectionaccuracy.Perform complex NDI inspections specifically A-scan and C-scan Ultrasonic Testing (UT) on compositeaircraft parts.Identify document and report any defects non-conformances or anomalies found during the inspectionprocess.Interpret evaluate and document inspection results in accordance with approved Wisk procedures specificationsand industry standards.Developing written work instructions from general procedures.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement correctiveactions.Maintain NDI certification and comply with all safety regulations and quality management system requirements.Required QualificationsNDI Certification:Current or prior certification as a Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing (UT) inspector in accordance with NAS-410 or equivalent recognized standard.Experience:Proven experience performing ultrasonic NDI on composite materials including A-scan and C-scan methodologies.Technical Skills:In-depth knowledge of UT principles equipment operation and flaw detection techniques in aerospace-grade composites.Work Environment:Must be able to work ONSITE in the Mt. View CA facility.Communication:Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting results and interacting with cross-functional teams.
