Job Title: Network Architect Location: Mechanicsville, Virginia (Hybrid) Job Type: 6 months + high chances of extension Job Description: Responsibilities Document comprehensive network designs that integrate multiple network technologies, such as LANs, WANs, wireless networks, and VPNs, to support the organization’s business operations and communication needs. · Cloud centric network design, including multi-tenant, multi-region (intra US) deployments and multi-vendor technologies across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS tiers · Data centric network design for efficient data transfers within the agency and across agencies and with other business partners and public or otherwise external data sources · Incorporate network solutioning with our emerging Cloud FinOps practice to support cost analysis and cost modeling for networking related cost · Design and document the entire network implementation process · Monitoring network performance and taking follow-up steps to resolve latency issues and security concerns · Creating documentation throughout the design and deployment process for future reference · Develop patterns and standards for all network designs · The ability to analyze data traffic and system performance to determine future upgrades. · Work with our IT staff and thirds-party equipment and software vendors to ensure the network needs are met. · Research new technologies and solutions, and asses new technologies for adoption · Define multisite network operations and software applications. · Train, mentor, and transfer skills to the extended team.
