Job Description

BCMC is supporting a U.S. Government customer to provide support for onsite incident response to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners who experience cyber-attacks providing immediate investigation and resolution. Contract personnel perform investigations to characterize of the severity of breaches develop mitigation plans and assist with the restoration of services. We are seeking a motivated Network Engineer to implement maintain and support the lab network infrastructure.Responsibilities:- Leverage advanced analytical and technical skills to design and implement infrastructure solutions that enhance mission execution and support command decision-making.- Support the integration of new technologies and equipment within lab environments including development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies.- Assess network topology and device configurations identify critical security vulnerabilities and recommend security best practices.- Provide user support for Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) such as Citrix as well as MacOS and iOS platforms.- Troubleshoot and resolve a broad range of technical issues from basic to complex network problems- Implement granular access controls monitor system performance and accessibility establish and maintain backup protocols and ensure system security.- Diagnose and resolve complex enterprise storage issues across local and wide area networks including replication strategy support and remediation of storage-related incidents.- Design build and maintain robust network environments by configuring routers switches and firewalls as well as updating network devices and performing IP address audits.- Ensure optimal network performance by troubleshooting issues enforcing system standards and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize infrastructure.- Secure network systems through policy enforcement access controls and continuous monitoring.Required Skills:- U.S. Citizenship- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance TS/SCI clearance is preferred- Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability- 5 years of directly relevant experience in network administration- Proficiency with multiple operating systems including Linux/Unix and MacOS- Strong knowledge and experience with routers switches firewalls and VPNs- Experience and knowledge of networking and network administration- Skilled in working with virtual desktop environments (Citrix VMware)- Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locationsDesired Skills:- Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switches- Experience with converged infrastructure solutions (e.g. FlexPod) and NetApp storage systems- Proficiency with Cisco Intersight vCenter and virtualization automation/optimization- Strong documentation skills for technical procedures and SOPs- Capable of creating and maintaining network diagrams- Demonstrated experience in network design implementation and performance tuning- Project management capabilities and excellent time-management skills- Expertise in hardening network devices and infrastructure for enhanced securityRequired Education:BS Computer Science Computer Engineering Computer Information Systems Computer Systems Engineering or related degree; or HS Diploma and 7 years network administration network engineering or systems administration experience.Desired Certifications:- DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II- Network- CCNAOur Company OverviewBusiness Computers Management Consulting Group LLC (BCMC) is a small business specializing in Information Technology (IT) Cybersecurity Information Assurance (IA) SOA Big Data Management Program Management and more for Federal State and Local agencies.
