Position OverviewThe Automation Engineer 1 will provide support to the Drug Substance Manufacturing (DSM) facility. Visit: DescriptionWhat Youll DoPerform Automation activities such as code configuration document development and test executionDelivers accurate and on-time Automation workCreates standard code utilizing simple control strategiesAssists with developing (generating reviewing maintaining) various specification documents (e.g. user requirements specification (URS) functional specification (FS) design qualification (DQ) etc.)Assists with developing (generating reviewing maintaining) various test protocols and functional testing documents (e.g. installation qualification (IQ) operational qualification (OQ) etc.)Assists with developing various test protocols and executes functional testing for documents (e.g.Serves as on-call support for Automation inquiries and troubleshootingCollaborates with other departments such as Manufacturing Maintenance and ValidationOther duties as assignedKnowledge and SkillsEffective communication both written and oralBasic problem-solving skillsAbility to present information to othersAbility to apply knowledge of Automation subject areas Basic RequirementsHigh School Diploma/GED with 4 years of Automation Instrumentation & Controls or other relevant technical experience; orBachelors degree in Chemical Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field with no prior experiencePreferred Requirements1 year of Automation experienceWORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWill work in environment which may necessitate respiratory protection X No YesMay work in Mechanical/Production spaces that may require hearing protection and enrollment in a hearing conservation program.
