Role: SME Network Engineer Location: - San Antonio TX 78259 Primary Skill Routing Switching and SDWAN Secondary Skills: Cisco Wireless and ACI Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Lead with deep expertise in Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) technologies. The ideal candidate will lead the design implementation and support of enterprise network solutions with a strong focus on SD-WAN ensuring high availability performance and security Required Qualifications: SD-WAN Expertise: Proficient and experienced in deploying managing and troubleshooting SD-WAN solutions from platforms like Cisco Versa or Silver Peak. Network Fundamentals: In-depth knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking including routing protocols (BGP OSPF) switching and data center networking. Security: Strong understanding of security protocols firewalls (e.g. Cisco Fortinet Palo Alto) VPNs and Zero Trust security models. Cloud Integration: Experience with cloud networking solutions and integrating SD-WAN with cloud environments. Technical Skills: Proficiency in network automation tools (e.g. Ansible Terraform) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is a plus. Certifications: Professional-level network certifications (e.g. Cisco CCNP R&S) are highly desired. Education: A Bachelors degree in a related field like engineering or computer science or equivalent experience. Soft Skills: Excellent leadership communication and collaboration skills with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
