Who Youll Work WithWhen you join Arista as part of the Sales Engineering team youre not just stepping into a role; youre becoming part of a team of industry experts and technical leaders. Typically reporting to the Regional Engineering Manager youll be working alongside some of the most skilled field engineers in the industry. Our team prides itself on not just understanding the technology but also the business impact and aligning our solutions with the larger goals of our collaboration with our Product Management and Software Development teams you will play a pivotal role in steering product developments offerings and strategic direction to best serve our customers and prospects. Supported by the expertise of our world class Arista TAC cutting-edge proof-of-concept resources and support of the executive team you are well-positioned to lead and innovate within the industry.In this position you will be working as a technology expert in the Routing & Switching WAN edge and Network Observability space to design implement and support (troubleshoot) our Datacenter and Campus Networking (including Wireless) deployments within a number of customer infrastructures.What Youll DoYou will provide advanced post-sales engineering support for Aristas Open Networking Data Center and Campus networking deployments for our enterprise and commercial customersReview customer network designs for an EVPN VxLAN leaf-spine architecture and make recommendations for deployment and operational efficiencyMigrate or interconnect to/from Cisco Juniper and other vendors to Arista infrastructureAssist with configuration build-outs including creating network provisioning automation using Python and tools such as AnsibleYou will assist with proof of concepts (POC) and in-depth testing to validate design scenarioProvide interface to TAC and internal development teams and the customerYou will provide customer advice regarding architectural questions product prerequisites product features etc.Translate complex business requirements into Leaf-Spine Network architecturesAssist Pre-Sales Engineer and Account Executives with designing Network solutionsAttend key partner events training sessions and provide ongoing training with the customer teams globallyUnderstand the clients business objectives and technical needs Ability to communicate across all functions within Arista as well as with clients and partners.Meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for sales and clientsMaintain professional relationships with teammates partners and clientsSome travel may be required within assigned territoryQualifications : Network Industry Certification preferred such as ACE-L4 ACE-L6 ACE-L7 and others.5 years working experience with network technologies including network design and deployments of Campus and Data Center networks.Knowledge of leaf-spine architectures is highly desired. 5 years minimum experience with Cisco-based technologies focusing on infrastructure and voiceDemonstrated experience in technical post-sales as either a Network Consulting Engineer or as an Advanced Systems (AS) Engineer preferredExperience with Cisco enterprise routing/switching within large data center enterprise customers (Catalyst Nexus ASR)Expert knowledge in the following areas: Ethernet VLANs VxLAN EVPN IP Routing TCP/IP OSPF BGP eBGP Multicast QoS WAN Network Observability Expert level knowledge of industry-standard CLIAbility to write white papers a plus Background in Perl Python Scripting for creating network automation is desiredExcellent customer service and verbal communication skillsCompensation InformationThe new hire base pay for this role has a salary range of $113000 to $175000. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors including skills qualifications relevant experience and US location. The salary range provided reflects the base salary and in addition this position is also eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses commissions equity and benefits including medical dental vision wellbeing tax savings and income protection.
