The Office of Information Systems and Security (ISS) support operational efficiency and technology management across all DGS divisions.We are seeking to hire a Network/Server Engineer responsible for configuration installation and support of an automation/security/surveillance network and server infrastructure in a campus environment. The successful candidate will be able to prioritize troubleshoot/resolve problems and follow through with internal clients.Key responsibilities include:Provide technical information to guide purchase decisions. Configure install and support the hardware and server systems required to provide robust campus infrastructure in support of tenant agencies. Perform routine monitoring and maintenance on the systems and hardware in the environment.Respond to requests for assistance; effectively elicit information from impacted users diagnose and correct issues. Update documentation and diagrams to accurately and effectively capture the environment.Work closely with other team members to ensure knowledge transfer and support.
