SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital is seeking a full-time academic neurologist specializing in stroke care to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative academic environment, contribute to clinical excellence, and engage in teaching and research. Primary Responsibilities:Provide expert clinical care for stroke patients and uphold the highest standards of practice for the patient populationEnsure call coverage for holidays, vacations, and other time off by coordinating with medical staffMaintain a private office and oversee all clinical decision-making during service hoursServe as an advisor and consultant on operational policies, including:Purchasing and capital allocationsManaged care plan participationBudget and practice expensesMedicare/Medicaid participationBilling and collectionsPersonnel managementRisk management and quality assuranceCoding complianceProvide after-hours call coverage for practice patients in addition to scheduled office appointmentsParticipate in community outreach activities such as speaking engagements, writing, and special clinical programsEnsure compliance with risk management, coding, and quality assurance standardsMaintain a constant state of alertness and adhere to safety protocolsPerform other duties as assignedJoin us and make a difference in stroke care while advancing academic medicine.SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, a LEVEL 1 Time Critical Diagnosis hospital in Stroke, Trauma and STEMI, is at the forefront of ground-breaking medical treatments, procedures, clinical trials and comprehensive patient care.
