Position Overview

SynapseTBI is seeking a Regional Director of Neurology to provide clinical leadership and neurological oversight for our expanding telehealth-based TBI care programs. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer, this physician leader will play a key role in shaping the delivery of neurological services, ensuring adherence to evidence-based protocols, and supporting the continued development of SynapseTBI’s clinical programs.


The Regional Director of Neurology will conduct virtual neurological consultations and evaluations for patients with traumatic brain injuries and related neurological conditions, while also providing clinical guidance to multidisciplinary care teams involved in rehabilitation and recovery. This role combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, including clinical quality oversight, protocol development, and collaboration with operational leadership to enhance care delivery across the region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide telehealth-based neurological consultations and evaluations for patients with TBI, concussion, and post-concussion syndrome
  • Serve as regional clinical leader for neurology services, ensuring alignment with SynapseTBI’s evidence-based care protocols
  • Review and interpret medical records, neuroimaging, and neurological diagnostic studies to guide treatment planning
  • Develop and oversee individualized neurological treatment plans and clinical recommendations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary providers, including rehabilitation specialists, psychologists, and therapists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care
  • Support the development and refinement of clinical protocols and care pathways for TBI and post-concussion management
  • Maintain high standards of clinical documentation, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
  • Provide clinical input to the Chief Medical Officer and executive leadership regarding program development, clinical operations, and patient outcomes


Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Texas required**
  • Multi-state licensure strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in traumatic brain injury, concussion, or post-concussion care
  • Experience with telemedicine platforms and virtual neurological evaluations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Interest in clinical program development and neurological care delivery innovation
